Pacing #
Over the course of an adventure your party will need to stop and recover. Depending on various factors of the story they may have more or less time pressure leading to changes in whether players might opt for Short Rests or not, in essence your combination of story elements in addition to resting rules will change which rules your players will end up leaning towards, so keep them in mind.
A list of things to consider for your chosen Resting Rules
- Time Pressure
- Tone
- Atmosphere
Resting #
Long Rests
- You regain all lost Hit Points, all spent Hit Dice, and you remove 1d4 points of exhaustion.
- Additionally, you regain any expended Class Resources, and Features. Short Rests
- You regain Hit Points equal to the totals rolled when expending Hit Dice.
- You might regain some expended Class Resources, or Features.
